"Nobody told me about the side effects of prescription pain drugs"

I believe we are going to hear a lot more about professional players, numbing the pain, with prescription pain medications.  But a greater concern is the influence on young athletes and the effects on the growing and maturing neuro-muscular skeletal systems, as well as the GI system.   I strongly recommend parents to consider the drug-less and safe treatment Chiropractic health care provides.

If you have a question or require more information about the benefits of chiropractic care, please give a call 1-805-527-7246 or email drwaynepress@yahoo.com

TEXTING AND YOUR NECK EQUALS PAIN?

Texting for many people is an important tool for communicating at work, play and most daily activities.  However, it may be causing or aggravating the pain in your neck. See the Article Here

My suggestion is to hold the mobile device at eye level or at least half the time when doing this activity.  And of course, avoid texting and driving.  Dr. Press

Bottom-line:  '...Chiropractic spinal manipulative therapy is associated with significantly greater improvement in condition-specific functioning.'

Chiropractic: Research Says...

I frequently hear there is no good research to support chiropractic care.  This is the furthest from the truth.  For the next view blogs, I will focus on some older and recent studies that indicate the benefits of chiropractic care.  Let us start here (click on heading for full abstract and access to complete study):

Randomised comparison of chiropractic and hospital outpatient management for low back pain: results from extended follow up BMJ 1995; 311 doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.1136/bmj.311.7001.349 (Published 05 August 1995) Cite this as: BMJ 1995;311:349

Bottom-line outcome:  '...those treated by chiropractic derive more benefit and long term satisfaction than those treated by hospitals.'

A very well done study.  Bottom-line, if pregnant and having back, muscle, nerve or joint pain, try drug-less alternatives such as chiropractic care and avoid the higher risk of subjecting your unborn child to (ADHD).  Dr. Press
